Why You Should Care What I Have to Say
Subscribe for free, critical thinking and dialog about our God-given freedoms and liberties
There is no shortage of good information in the world. Good analysis, good opinion, and generally reliable information. There is also no shortage of bad and even terrible and corrupt information.
There is however a shortage of free, critical thinking and dialog, and that is why you should care what I have to say.
If you find the information I present here informative, then you and I probably have some shared values. I am glad for that and would love to see you subscribe.
If you find the information here objectionable or even detestable, then we probably do not have much in common. And that is ok, too. You are welcome to be here and share your own thoughts in the comments section.
No matter, please know that I do moderate what is said here. It is not a free-for-all. I won’t censor you. But I won’t tolerate ignorance.

On this blog/newsletter/podcast, you will find me writing about and presenting you with information that I am analyzing for my work and for the purpose of trying to understand what the hell is going on in the world.
By trade, I am a Content Marketer. I produce a variety of blogs, podcasts, and live streams for my self and my business and for clients. Part of my process involves scouring the web and emails for industry news and current events, analysis, opinions, and debates, watching videos, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts.
Most of what I study is applicable to what I do for business and so I have a place to opine about it and explore with colleagues, but not everything. And since I am an Information Scientist, the need evolved to where having a place to try and make sense of it all became worthwhile.
Technology and SocioPolitics
One of my goals with this publication is to consider the idea that computer technology and information systems, like physical land, can be occupied by people (minds) and ruled or governed by both gracious and nefarious actors.
This makes for great dialog and study about technology, society, government, politics, policy, philosophy, and more, all of which shall be explored in this publication, often times from an existential perspective.*
If you are familiar with the movie The Matrix, this might give you an idea on where I am coming from. Or Arthur C. Clarke’s book A Childhood’s End. Both of these sci-fi fantasy stories depict a gruesome fate for humankind, but like zombies, I don’t believe these depictions are truth more than they are horrific exaggerations of possibility.
That said, societies and governments have historically done some horrific things to people and the world, so we can’t pretend our God-give freedoms and liberties are absolute.
Mobility Tech & Connectivity
In regards to “my work” on future technologies, how we are connected and the way we get around, see my other blog and podcast - AutoConverse where the theme is Mobility Tech & Connectivity.
Rise of the Computer State
Part of the challenge of sharing your ideas and opinions these days is that the freedom and liberty to do so depends not only on which country you live in, but which technology platform you use.
As a US citizen, freedom of speech is a God-given right and I am one for exercising this right. But these freedoms are beholden to the oligarchs of the world that dictate what is being said and by whom. And these oligarchs are not God-fearing people.
As we enter this unprecedented time, we must recognize that we are entering into a computer state, one that is effectively artificial intelligence cohabitating with humans. This is a unique place to be for modern humans. It’s like we are in The Matrix. We/You must be vigilant. We/You must be human.
Subscribe to Minimize BigTech Surveillance of You
As we enter into a Computer State, it’s important to realize that you still have freedoms and liberties, which means you have choices. And among these choices is which technology platforms you use.
It’s not realistic to live a life entirely off the grid, nor should you want to. The benefits of an online digital society are great and futile to resist. But who you are and what you do and where and who has access to information about you, among these things you have choices.
It’s your choice to have a smartphone, and it’s your choice who is your carrier.
It’s your choice to have cable TV, satellite, TV, or Internet TV, and it’s your choice who your providers are
It’s your choice to have a free Gmail account
It’s your choice to have a free Facebook or Instagram or Whatsapp account
It’s your choice to have a Snapchat, Twitter, or TikTok account
But by choosing to uses these services, you bare a responsibility and if you aren’t reading the fine print of their end user agreements, you probably don’t know that you helped make it possible by using Facebook for Mark Zuckerberg to give $420 millions to two “non-partisan," tax-exempt political operations: The Center for Technology and Civic Life and The Center for Election Innovation and Research which together helped engineer a much higher vote count for Joe Biden, as citizens who rarely participate in elections did so with the tutoring these entities provided.
One of my missions with this blog/newsletter/podcast is to educate people about these technologies, what your choices are, and ways that you can minimize the surveillance these entities have on you.
On that note, here is one suggestion you can do immediately to help minimize and reduce the power that Facebook has in the world…DELETE the Facebook and Instagram and WhatsApp apps from your phone!
Try it for a few weeks. See how it improves your life and know that if enough people were to do the same, it would have a positive impact on the world. And if you aren’t able to do it, then let’s talk about why not.
WATCH - Social Media: Why it Sickens the Self and Divides Society, by Academy of Ideas
One of the great benefits of social media is the multimedia messaging and communications features they offer that we have become accustomed to. But if it’s free, meaning you aren’t paying for it, then you are literally just transferring YOUR energy to the BigTech provider which they are harvesting for profit…at your expense.
Did you know there are alternatives?
Slack: Surveillance-Free Thinking and Idea Exchange
For my business, we use a messaging and communication app called Slack where we manage multiple workspaces and channels to store and organize all the content we catalogue, analyze, and produce. One of the great features in Slack is the ability to create private channels, or groups.
As the owner of my company, I have the luxury to do make executive decisions and one of those decisions involved the creation a private channel/group in our Slack workspace that is designated to this blog/podcast/newsletter. So effectively, my plan is to make it so that when I open up paid subscriptions here, your subscription will include access to that private group/channel.
The benefit of this is that it will give you a place to a) connect with other like-minded individuals who probably share your values and b) the ability to voice your opinion without the fear of surveillance and censorship.
If this sounds of interest to you, start your paid subscription today I will send you an invite to join our group/channel in Slack.
Another benefit of a paid subscription is that you will be invited and able to join our live discussion panels and debates.
Existential Contemplation
Another goal with this publication is to view things from an existential perspective. I believe that the existential factors are entirely relevant to everything. For instance, where is good and where is evil? But even beyond the black and white, we will use this publication to understand the existential factors of what we discuss.
I do this in other places, too, in various contexts such as my Tumblr blog and my Tao Teh Ching blog which you will see me reference in blog posts here.
If you think world peace is feasible, I wonder if you see it without God? And if you think the Great Reset will bring equality and justice into the world, are you willing to give up your own freedoms and liberties to satisfy the optics of corruption and greed so that the elite class can have your share? Or are you part of the 1% already?
I am all for peace in the world, equality, and justice. However, you won’t sell me on these things if humans are involved and God is not.
“God” is a difficult subject, I agree. As was once written by an ancient Chinese wise man…
God can be talked about, but not the Eternal God.
Names can be named, but not the Eternal Name.
As the origin of heaven-and-earth, it is nameless.
As “the Mother” of all tings, it is nameable.
These are the first four lines of the Tao Teh Ching (as translated by John C.H. Wu), ancient Chinese literature from about 500 B.C., the complete text of which can be found on my website www.taotehching.org. I share them here to form a bridge. A bridge into a world steeped in humor, humility, and mystical virtue.
So, if all this is the type of information you want, to help you be more informed and better educated, then you should care what I have to say and subscribe. And if you do subscribe, be sure to engage with the content and other readers, and feel free to reach out and let me know your own thoughts and ideas, as well. Cheers and Godspeed!
